Upload attachments to your forms

People send and receive emails with attachments. People attach business plans to web-based loan applications. Why should FormFactory forms be any different? We definitely don’t think so either. So, as of this morning, FormFactory developers have the power to upload and attach documents to salesforce records.

Form validation support - Phase I

FormFactory EX, our newest product, is enabling form builders to go where few salesforce form builders have gone before - salesforce write back. We just made another major leap in this space by facilitating form validation. Let’s see how this takes us into the world of web forms more than before.

Support

Increased maximum character limits in components and better pagination support

If a part of your Carousel report work required displaying drilldown data that included description fields, this post is for you. Till yesterday, we had a Carousel engine limitation that restricted the amount of string data that can be fetched from salesforce. If the description exceeded 80+ characters, the field was truncated when that limit was reached. Good news is that it helped us learn tap dancing when our customers called us on it but bad news was that it constrained our customers.

Support

Add/ Delete rows made easier in Report Table

While report users love the formatting options that the Report Table component supports, we, Carousel developers, agree that it isn’t the easiest component to use. It’s heavy and you can’t add rows wherever you want but..., even after all the formatting drudgery the results are spectacular, right? If you are a regular user of the Report Table, one of your pet peeves is likely the inability insert/delete rows or columns without major manual surgery.

Support

Iterating through a list of salesforce IDs

One of the newest components in the FormFactory arsenal is the Iterator. True to its name, the Iterator takes a list of salesforce IDs and iterates through the list, invoking a set of mashups for each individual ID (in programmer parlance, it’s like a FOR loop). If you didn’t get all that, let’s look at a quick example. Say you send the Iterator five Account IDs and you’ve mashed the Iterator up to a Summary Table.

Support
