DreamFactory Announces New Document Collaboration Application
MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. - 02/25/2008 - DreamFactory, a pioneer in providing advanced web applications and development tools for cloud-based platforms, today announced the availability of DoX, a content-based collaboration technology for managing and sharing business documents. DoX, which is available to Salesforce.com customers, integrates both the Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3) and the Salesforce platform called Force.com, to create this new offering.
From a single unified view, DoX allows users to access and share documents regardless of where they are stored. DoX enables the effortless movement of documents and folders via simple drag and drop between the desktop and virtual file systems, including Salesforce.com and Amazon S3. DreamFactory is an early mover in integrating with Amazon S3, which provides highly scalable, reliable, fast and inexpensive virtual storage.

Highlights of DoX capabilities include:
- Ad Hoc Workspaces: Users can share, collaborate and store documents within “admin–free” virtual workspaces
- File management: Users can drag, drop and transfer content between Salesforce.com, Amazon S3 and the user’s desktop
- Storage: DoX provides storage by integrating with both Amazon S3 and Salesforce.com.
DoX is available to download on the Salesforce AppExchange and is completely free for Salesforce customers. The cost for Dox with Amazon S3 is $48 per user annually.
