What is Carousel?
Carousel for AppExchange enables salesforce.com users to create and share dynamic presentations, reports, and dashboards that are connected to live salesforce.com information.
What are the differences between each version of Carousel?
Carousel Professional edition allows you to create your own presentations, share presentations with other users in your organization, and collaborate on group presentations.
Does it matter what salesforce.com Edition we use?
You can mix and match any version of Carousel with any version of salesforce.com. Carousel works with the salesforce.com Professional Edition, Developer Edition, Enterprise Edition, or Unlimited Edition. Carousel does not work with the Team Edition because Team Edition does not have API access. Carousel inherits the customizations, capabilities, and limitations that exist in your salesforce.com account.
Does every salesforce user need a Carousel license?
No, only team members who need to create presentations need a Carousel license.
Does every Carousel user need a salesforce license?
Yes.
Where are my Carousel presentations stored?
Carousel presentations are stored safely and securely in your salesforce account. There is no other database in use. This enables you to work on Carousel presentations whenever you are logged into salesforce.com.
How can I try out Carousel with MY salesforce.com account?
Go back to the Carousel page on AppExchange and click the "Get it Now" button. This will enable you to install Carousel into your salesforce account and try it out in Single User mode.
How do I license Carousel Professional or Enterprise?
After clicking the "Get It Now" button and installing Carousel, you will need to run the License Manager to enable named users in your salesforce.com account. Once you have selected the users, the License Manager creates an email that you send to us so that we can provision your license.
What if I decide that Carousel doesn't suit my needs?
If you think there is something missing or you feel the product has a shortcoming, please call us. We are constantly listening to customer feedback and feature requests. If the product is not a fit for your needs you can easily remove it from your salesforce account under the Setup > App Setup menu.
How much does Carousel cost?
Carousel Single User edition is free. Carousel Professional edition is $25 per user per month.

What is your security policy?
Carousel uses your personal computer to communicate directly with your salesforce.com account. All transactions take place directly between Carousel and salesforce.com and are conducted using the Secure Sockets Layer protocol. All transactions conform to the AppExchange API security policy, and the policy that you have established for the users in your salesforce.com account. No data is ever transmitted to us or to any other database. We never store your username or password. Our servers are only used for the initial download of the runtime control. What is your privacy policy?
Carousel uses your personal computer to communicate directly with your salesforce.com account. We never see your data, your username, your password, or your session ID. You get the Carousel Project files from us once, and then you are done: we are not "hosting" anything. All Carousel data is stored in your salesforce account. Any personal data that you explicitly send to us, for example to request information, will be used solely for tracking product downloads, building customer relationships, and providing technical support. Your personal information will never be transferred to a third party or become linked to any database external to DreamFactory Software, Inc.
