Web Meeting Mashup is a business mashup of WebEx, Salesforce.com and Microsoft Outlook that allows users to schedule, start, join, list, invite and manage WebEx meetings from within the context of familiar Salesforce.com screens.

Comprehensive WebEx integration: Web Meeting Mashup works with any WebEx service (e.g., MeetingCenter, SalesCenter, TrainingCenter, etc.)
Salesforce.com, WebEx and Outlook mashup: Web Meeting Mashup mashes up Salesforce.com, WebEx and Microsoft Outlook, allowing users to traverse and invite contacts from a simple unified "rolodex."

"My Meetings" view - See all of your WebEx meetings, past, present and future. Schedule new meetings, create instant meetings, and update existing meetings. Start or join in-progress meeetings. Invite attendees, with access to your Salesforce.com and Outlook contacts.

Popup Meeting Scheduler - Schedule or create instant meetings from within Salesforce.com Account, Opportunity, Contact or Lead tabs. Track meetings in the Activity History of Salesforce entities.

Web Meeting Mashup Activities

Within Web Meeting Mashup you can

  • Schedule and create instant WebEx meetings from within Salesforce.com.
  • Start or Join meetings with the click of a button.
  • Invite both Salesforce.com and Outlook contacts to WebEx meetings.
  • Attach WebEx meetings to Activity Histories in Salesforce Accounts, Opportunities, Contacts and Leads.

The following sections will walk you through the steps required to work with Web Meeting Mashup.

Scheduling A WebEx Meeting

Scheduling a WebEx meeting is a simple process. From the Web Meeting Mashup tab, Click the Schedule A WebEx Meeting button and the Schedule a WebEx Meeting dialog pops up. Alternately, you can click the Web Meeting Mashup link in any Account, Opportunity, Contact or Lead tab.

Smply give your meeting a topic and password, specify date/time and duration, and select a telephony option. Invite attendees and click either Schedule or Start Now.

Inviting Attendees

Web Meeting Mashup lets you invite Salesforce.com Accounts, Opportunities, Contacts and Leads to your WebEx meetings. You can also invite Outlook contacts to your meetings. In the Attendees section, click on the magnifying glass icon and an Add Attendees popup will appear. The "as":" dropdown lets you search through Salesforce.com Accounts, Opportunitites, Contacts, Leads and Users as well as Outlook contacts. If you invite an Account, then all Contacts in that Account will be invited to the meeting. If you choose an Opportunity, then all Contacts who have Oppportunity Roles in that Opportunity will be invited to the meeting. Click Add Selected Attendees to add attendees to the meeting.

Attaching Meetings to Activity History

Web Meeting Mashup also lets you attach WebEx meetings to the Activity History for Salesforce.com Accounts, Cases, Contacts, Leads and Opportunities. In the Activities section, click on the magnifying glass icon and an Attach Meeting popup will appear. The "as":" dropdown lets you search through Salesforce.com Accounts, Cases, Contacts, Leads and Opportunities. Click Attach to Selected Records to attach the meeting to Activity Histories.
