Generate Databricks APIs in 4 simple steps
DreamFactory’s Databricks connector enables rapid, secure REST API generation for various databases, complete with documentation.
Step 1: Select the Databricks Connector
Log in to the DreamFactory Admin Console and navigate to the API Generation & Connections tab . Click API Types, select Database, create a new connection with the plus (+) button, and choose Databricks as the service type from the dropdown menu.

Step 2: Set a name, label, and description for your database
You will be prompted to enter service details, including a descriptive name for the Databricks service, along with an optional label and description for reference. The service name is required, as it will be part of the API URL.

Step 3: Configure connection details
In the Configuration tab, enter the database connection details, including the host name (Databricks workspace URL), API Token, and path to the ODBC driver.

Step 4: Access your autogenerated API documentation
Click Create & Test to save the configuration and generate your Databricks REST API. DreamFactory automatically generates the API along with comprehensive documentation and security controls.

Security & Integration with other Services
As with all DreamFactory REST APIs you will have to secure your SQL Server API with minimum role-based access controls before it can be made public. You can also add headers, add service definitions, and script some powerful automated workflows with the DreamFactory scripting engine.
In a few short minutes, you can have your SQL Server API ready to integrate alongside any number of other Enterprise applications, data sources, or network APIs. DreamFactory also allows you to create, mount, and manage any number of third-party REST APIs with ease under a unified admin dashboard.
